Western Baptist Bible Institute/School

There is so much to say and to post about the Western Baptist Bible School (WBBS) that it almost needs its’ own website. Until the school has progressed to a further stage all relevant information will be posted on this page.

2023 Graduating Class

The 2023 Graduating Class was our largest so far. We had 12 men completing their 1 and 2 years of Bible Institute.

2018 Graduating Class

The school was started in August of 2016 with 5 students. In September of 2018 the first class graduated with 9 students.

We began our next school year in January of 2020. That class graduated in December of 2021.

These seven young men received their One-Year Bible Certificate in December 2019

Current Needs:

  • We are needing sponsors for new students for the 2023 school year which will kick off on January 9th, 2023.
  • we are looking for a qualified teacher to come and join us as a full-time staff
  • we are looking for pastors who would be willing to come and teach a 1 week module Bible class
  • we are raising funds toward a classroom building

As you can see from the previous photos. our class-room is currently in a twenty foot long converted refrigerator container. It is not a preferable location for our class but we have been using this for over two years. Please help us pray about getting the funds to build a classroom building. This gives an idea of one of the “giants” hindering our work. There are about 54 different languages spoken in our province. One way to conquer this giant is through training those young men who are able to speak English. They can take the gosple back to their friends, parents and grandparents who may not be able to understand English or the trade language of Melanesian Tok Pisin.
